The Zero Waste Festival is a non-for-profit and completely volunteer-run event that aims to help visitors to transition to a more sustainable, minimal-impact and Zero Waste lifestyle.

Revived Yarn will be present with an info stand to promote the activities in support to people affected by homelessness in Dublin.

There will be two meetups to knit and crochet together from 3pm to 5 pm. Choose a pattern of preference from the selection available on our website and bring your own needles. Yarn will be provided at the events. Are you a beginner? Feel free to join and we’ll be happy to help!

Christmas with Perfect Smile Dental Surgery

Also this year we are partnering with Perfect Smile Dental Surgery to support their initiative in aid to people affected by homelessness. On the 7th of December 2019 the clinic and other locations in the inner city will be open to the homeless to offer them free care and services. As our personal contribution, we will donate on the day nice and cosy hats, cowls and mittens.

KAL for St James' Hospital Foundation

Welcome to Revived Yarn's KAL 2019 for the St James' Hospital Foundation!

The KAL will take place between September and October 2019 with the goal to knit two fabulous hat designs to be donated to people affected by homelessness in Dublin who are assisted by the Foundation.

Participants to the KAL will be entered into a prize draw sponsored by The Constant Knitter.

Patterns

To participate to the KAL you can choose at least one of the following designs.

  3. Fair Isle Aran Hat by Yarn with Joanne

Yarn required for these designs will be offered for free at the events listed in the schedule below upon request.

FOs Prize

Finished Objects (FOs) will have to be either posted or hand delivered to our collection points in Dublin not later than October 31st. Write to revivedyarn@gmail for the address detail.

Packages will have to be accompanied with a description reporting:

* name of the KAL

* name of the author

* email address

The prize is a gorgeous set including:

* two skeins of West Yorkshire Spinners, 225 m fleece DK, in dye Amber and Granite

* three Loqi zip projects bags, Klimt theme

* cat and howl stitch markers

* 31 October 2019: last date for collection of the items.

* 9 November 2019: prize winner announcement.
